Зеленский провел встречу с генеральным секретарем НАТО.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at Ramstein. This was reported on January 9 on the president's website.   The main topics of the meeting included the need to strengthen Ukraine's air defense and to involve NATO countries in purchasing Ukrainian weapons based on the Danish model.   Zelensky emphasized that the common goal of the partners is to ensure a strong position for Ukraine to achieve a just and lasting peace.   The politicians discussed possible formats for engaging the North Atlantic Alliance platform to reach this goal.   The President also highlighted the importance of launching the NATO initiative "Safe Assistance and Training for Ukraine" (NSATU) for effective coordination of military assistance and training of Ukrainian soldiers.   Additionally, during the meeting, they addressed the work of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense in the Ramstein format and its contribution to decision-making for strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.   It is worth noting that an earlier meeting between Zelensky and Rutte took place on December 18, where they discussed enhancing Ukraine's air defense and ways to ensure reliable peace.   As reported, NATO Secretary General Rutte expressed hope during his meeting with Zelensky that soon 19 air defense systems will be delivered to Ukraine to protect critical infrastructure.
