Зеленский: Украина не согласится на компромиссы относительно оккупированных территорий.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that the country will not compromise on recognizing the occupied territories as part of Russia, even if pressured by allies. He emphasized that these territories remain an integral part of Ukraine and their return under state control is a fundamental issue. Zelensky made this statement during a meeting with representatives of the International Media Council.

Zelensky noted that any negotiations with Russia should be conducted solely from a position of strength. He believes that attempting to place the aggressor on equal footing is unacceptable, as it would be viewed as a defeat for Ukraine.

"No matter what anyone wants. Even if all the allies in the world unite, we still will not recognize the occupied territories. It is impossible. We do not legally recognize them. For us, they will always remain occupied territories until we return," he stated.

The President also highlighted the responsibility of the Russian leadership for resolving the conflict, stressing that the aggressor cannot be seen as an equal partner.

Ending active hostilities is Zelensky's main priority. He pointed out that maximum efforts must be made to conclude the active phase of the war, as this is a key condition for ensuring the country's security.

According to him, negotiations are possible, but the most important task remains to halt the active phase of the conflict.

Let us remind you that Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned the number of peacekeepers needed for Ukraine's security. He referred to a minimum of 200,000 European peacekeepers. The President also emphasized that the deployment of peacekeepers will only be part of the necessary security guarantees for Ukraine.
