President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. The Ukrainian leader announced this on social media
X on Wednesday, January 29.
"We discussed the importance of unity and solidarity in Europe to overcome the global security challenges and threats facing every European," he wrote.
The leaders of the two countries also talked about enhancing bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Northern Europe, as well as joint efforts to achieve a fair and lasting peace.
"I thank Denmark and its people for their unwavering support of Ukraine and our people," Zelensky added.
It should be noted that a month ago, Ukraine
received over 150 million euros in funding for the defense industry from Denmark, France, and Lithuania. The funds will be directed towards the production of missiles, deep-strike drones, and artillery systems.
