Law enforcement officials in the Kyiv region have uncovered a large-scale drug trafficking operation organized by a 36-year-old resident of the capital. According to the investigation, the man established an illegal production process in a non-residential premises, where approximately 10 kg of amphetamines were manufactured each month. The estimated income from this business was around 5 million hryvnias per month at black market prices. This information is reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
The organizer of the criminal group is also a suspect in the case regarding the planned murder of the First Deputy Minister of Health, which was successfully prevented. To facilitate his criminal activities, he recruited six acquaintances who were involved in the distribution of drugs via a Telegram channel and by phone. Buyers paid using both cash and cryptocurrency.
As part of the pre-trial investigation, 12 searches were conducted, during which over 120 g of amphetamines, 140 g of alpha-PVP, cannabis, ketamine, and laboratory equipment used for drug production were seized.
All detained individuals have been charged with committing crimes. The cases have been sent to court, where the issue of applying a preventive measure in the form of detention will be considered.
