An officer from the 3rd Mechanized Battalion of the 115th Separate Mechanized Brigade, known by the pseudonym Fartov, reported that Ukrainian servicemen captured Russian scouts who were storming the positions of the Defense Forces in the Lyman direction. He made this statement during a broadcast on
Suspilne on Sunday, January 12.
"This week, the enemy attempted to storm our positions numerous times. All of these actions ended in failure, and on the contrary - the enemy exposed themselves, allowing us to capture some very interesting personnel who will now help us deliver a significant surprise to the enemy," noted the military officer.
The capture of the scouts was made possible due to the coordinated efforts of the Ukrainian military.
"We managed to capture personnel from the reconnaissance platoon that was attempting to storm our positions," he reported.
According to the military, the Russians provided information that will enable the destruction of the enemy and slow down their pace of advancement.
"This time, we were able to 'draw' them in. Thanks to our soldiers, they did not realize what was happening and foolishly fell into captivity," added the officer from the 115th Mechanized Brigade.
It is worth noting that recently, two Ukrainian servicemen from the assault group of the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade
captured 14 Russian soldiers.
Additionally, it was reported that the 3rd Airborne Assault Brigade
captured subscribers of their Telegram channel.
