The marines successfully repelled an assault by the invaders using armored vehicles in the Pokrovsk direction. This information was reported by Khoritstkiy Veter, which also shared a related video on its Telegram channel on Thursday, December 20. "The occupiers attempted to break through the defenses in the area under the responsibility of the marine warriors. However, yet another attempt to 'breach' the defense resulted in the loss of 10 units of armored vehicles within just a few hours," the statement reads. The enemy deployed two tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, and six armored combat vehicles for the assault and breach operations. "Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the units, the enemy's equipment, along with the landing troops, was struck even before reaching the defensive fortifications. The occupiers' armored vehicles detonated on mine-explosive barriers," the military confirmed. The damaged armored vehicles and the remnants of the enemy landing party that managed to disembark were eliminated by artillery fire and FPV drones. "The enemy's offensive has been repelled, and our positions have been preserved," they added. As we previously reported, the defense forces destroyed a column of Russian marines who advanced under red flags to attack from a minefield amidst a barrage of Ukrainian drones in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. Video of the failed "breakthrough" by Russia in Sumy region has emerged
