Russia has deployed three missile carriers in the Black Sea. This was reported on Wednesday, December 25, by monitoring channels. It is noted that the total salvo of the missile carriers consists of 24 Kalibr missiles.
The Kalibr cruise missile family consists of long-range missiles that were first adopted into service in the 1990s. They can potentially carry nuclear warheads. Russia regularly utilizes versions of these missiles for strikes against Ukraine, specifically submarine-launched (3M-14K) and surface ship (3M-14T) variants. While there are ship-based, submarine, and air versions of the missile, as well as variants for anti-ship, anti-submarine, and land use. The maximum flight altitude is 1,000 m, and the missile approaches its target at an altitude of 50-150 m above ground (20 m above water). It should be noted that Russia launched several groups of drones into Ukrainian territory that night. Alarm signals are also being sounded in the western part of the country. Additionally, monitoring channels reported the
takeoff of a group of bombers from the Murmansk region of Russia. The military urges not to ignore the alarm signals and to stay in shelters. The Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation have received
new batches of Su-34 bombers and Su-57 fighters. Recall that the Defense Forces
destroyed a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft. It was shot down in the Pokrovsk direction.
