The military has refuted Russia's claims regarding the capture of Novoegorovka.

  Soldiers of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade have refuted the claims made by the Russian Ministry of Defense regarding the capture of Novoyegorovka in the Luhansk region. This was reported by the brigade's press service on Wednesday, January 29.   The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the occupation of the settlement. As "evidence," they published a video allegedly recorded in the area of responsibility of the Third Assault Brigade.   The soldiers emphasized that the capture of the village is a fabrication of Russian propaganda aimed at creating an "illusion of success for the RF at the brigade's front." According to Ukrainian military personnel, the video recorded by the occupiers actually shows the settlement of Kovalevka, which they themselves had previously destroyed.   "Meanwhile, the commander of the 20th Guards Army of the RF, who has only captured Novoyegorovka on paper, is actively erasing his units from the defense of the Third Assault Brigade.
