Components from the USA, China, Switzerland, and the UK have been found in the "Tornado-S" shells of Russia's multiple launch rocket systems, according to GUR.

In samples of guided reactive projectiles "Tornado-S" used by Russia against Ukraine, two gyroscopes from different countries have been identified.
В снарядах «Торнадо-С» российской РСЗО найдены детали из США, Китая, Швейцарии и Великобритании, сообщает ГУР.

As a result of research conducted during the analysis of the remnants of guided missile shells from the Russian multiple launch rocket system "Tornado-S," the use of two fiber-optic gyroscopes was identified. One of them is the TIUS500, produced by the Russian company LLC "NVC OPTOLINK," while the other is of unknown foreign origin, featuring indicator seals in Chinese, suggesting a possible affiliation with the Chinese manufacturer BWSENSING. This information was reported by HUR.

The simultaneous use of two gyroscopes is a strategic solution for enhancing strike accuracy. This is achieved through the utilization of two independent information arrays that enable a more precise determination of the projectile's position in space. Such a combination reduces errors in targeting direction and range.

Both the foreign and Russian gyroscopes have a similar design, which includes three Sagnac ring interferometers arranged along three orthogonal axes, as well as electronic circuitry. It has also been noted that the electronics in the Russian unit are based on an Altera Cyclone FPGA (USA), while the foreign unit employs STMicroelectronics microcontrollers (Switzerland).

Additionally, it has been found that the Russian unit contains components from manufacturers in the USA (Analog Devices, National Semiconductor, Maxim Integrated), China (Panwoo Equipment Consulting, Mornsun), Switzerland (STMicroelectronics), and the UK (Golledge Electronics). These components enhance the technological complexity and efficiency of the weapon systems used.

Information about the identified components and their images can be found on the War&Sanctions portal, which has already published over 18,000 objects and entities subject to international sanctions.

It is worth noting that during the massive attack by Shahed, Ukraine's air defense shot down 46 drones, affecting several regions. On the night of March 3, the enemy launched a large-scale attack with 83 Shahed drones and decoys.
