On the night of March 1, Russia launched yet another drone attack on Ukraine. Debris from a Russian drone has been found on Romanian territory, reports the local publication Digi24.
A team of specialists from the Ministry of Defense, Romanian intelligence, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated in a press release that the drone fragments discovered in Galați County are of Russian origin.
"Based on the conducted examinations, it was determined that the drone carried an active explosive charge, which will be safely detonated on-site to eliminate any threat to the local population," officials reported.
The incident occurred approximately 500 meters from the border with Moldova, in an uninhabited area, and did not damage any infrastructure.
Let us remind you that the Upper Chamber of the Romanian Parliament approved two bills allowing for the downing of drones and the peaceful conduct of military missions and operations within the territory of the Romanian state.
