The "Diia" app has introduced new services for veterans and the families of fallen defenders.

Veterans with disabilities and families of fallen defenders can apply for their status online through "Diia" in just a few minutes, avoiding queues and bureaucratic hassles.
В приложении «Дія» внедрили новые услуги для ветеранов и семей погибших защитников.

Two new services for veterans and their families have been introduced in the "Diia" app. This was announced by the Vice Prime Minister for Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, on his Telegram channel.

“You can now obtain the status of a person with a disability due to war and the status of a family member of a fallen defender online on the 'Diia' portal,” wrote Fedorov.

As the minister noted, it is now possible to register for the status in just a few minutes by simply submitting an application through “Diia.” There is no need to gather additional documents, and the hassle of waiting in line and dealing with bureaucratic complexities, as was the case before, has been eliminated.
The new services are available to:

  • veterans with confirmed disabilities;

  • family members of fallen defenders of Ukraine — spouses, parents, and children. To apply, it is necessary to provide documents confirming the defender's participation in combat actions, their death, and the family ties.

“Services for defenders and their families should be as comfortable as possible, and digitizing this process is a primary goal,” Fedorov added.
