Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov commented on personnel decisions in the army on his
Facebook page on Friday, November 29. This pertains to the appointment of Major General Mykhailo Drapaty as the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Colonel Oleg Apostol, the commander of the 95th Separate Air Assault Brigade, as the Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "I am convinced that the newly appointed leaders, who have combat experience, will do everything possible to ensure quality training for our military personnel and effectively accomplish tasks for the defense of Ukraine," he stated. Umerov also expressed gratitude for the service of Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk, who previously led the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He emphasized that Pavliuk's contributions to the defense of our country during this challenging time deserve respect. "We continue to strengthen the Armed Forces to achieve our primary goal - victory in the war and the restoration of our state's territorial integrity," the minister added.
