Ukrainian forces shot down 33 "Shahed" drones amid Russia's massive assault.

On the night of January 10, 2025, a massive air assault from Russia commenced, starting at 20:30 on January 9. The enemy deployed 72 "Shahed" strike drones and decoy drones, attacking from various directions including Millerovo, Orel, Bryansk, and Primorsk-Akhtarsk. This information is reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ukrainian defenders acted swiftly, repelling the attack using aviation, anti-aircraft missile systems, electronic warfare (EW) units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine. Thanks to a high level of organization, by 09:00 on January 10, the downing of 33 enemy drones, including "Shahed" and other types of UAVs, was confirmed.

The attack had serious consequences in several regions, particularly in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, and Kherson regions. Specifically, in Chernihiv region, damage to enterprises and agricultural buildings occurred due to drone strikes, resulting in one civilian injury. In the Kyiv region, one of the drones crashed into a high-rise building, damaging the structure and several vehicles. Preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties.

Additionally, the loss of 34 enemy decoy drones was recorded. One of them flew towards Russia without causing any negative consequences.

As a reminder, in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv, the debris of an enemy drone damaged a high-rise building. Debris from the enemy UAV was recorded falling onto a multi-storey building in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv.
