The SBU reported an increase in Russia's information and psychological operations in Ukraine.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) warns of new attempts by Russian intelligence agencies to destabilize the situation in Ukraine through information-psychological operations aimed at dividing society and fostering protest sentiments.
СБУ уведомила об усилении информационно-психологических операций России в Украине.

The Security Service of Ukraine has reported a significant increase in information sabotage organized by Russian special services, aimed at destabilizing the socio-political situation in Ukraine. Recently, there has been a notable rise in the number of information-psychological operations attempting to create divisions among Ukrainians and foster the spread of protest sentiments. This information comes from the SSU.

Russian agents are actively utilizing bot farms and fake accounts on popular social networks and messaging apps, particularly TikTok and Telegram. In their provocations, they disseminate disinformation about alleged mass protests and street riots in Ukraine, as well as encourage participation in actions, promising money for involvement.

To combat such threats, the SSU is conducting all necessary measures to identify and neutralize hostile provocations. Security Service specialists are actively working to eliminate potential threats to Ukraine's national security.

The SSU urges citizens to remain vigilant and not fall for hostile manipulations, emphasizing that such actions, which undermine the constitutional order, are criminal offenses. Attempts to violently change state power are punishable under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which prescribes a penalty of up to 10 years of imprisonment.

Recall that Russia is preparing to declare "victory" in the war by February 24, 2025, according to the GUR. Russia is intensifying propaganda attacks ahead of the anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine, spreading fake narratives about "victory" and attempting to undermine trust in the Ukrainian government and its partners.
