The prosecution has initiated proceedings due to the aftermath of a Russian UAV strike on a passenger bus in the Sumy region. Civilians were injured, reports the Office of the Prosecutor General on Sunday, January 12.
"Under the procedural guidance of the Sumy District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched regarding the commission of war crimes (part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the statement reads.
According to the investigation, on January 12 at approximately 15:15, the enemy attacked a passenger bus traveling through the Myropil community in the Sumy district with a drone. As a result of the attack, two female passengers sustained injuries.
Prosecutors, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the shelling.

Earlier, in the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian military hit a Bogdan bus carrying passengers with an FPV drone.
