Russia has targeted DTEK thermal power plants, causing significant damage to the equipment.

Today, December 25, Russian forces carried out yet another terrorist attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, targeting thermal power plants owned by DTEK. As a result of the extensive shelling, significant damage occurred to critical equipment at several power plants. This is reported by DTEK.

This strike marks the thirteenth large-scale assault on Ukraine's energy infrastructure in 2024. Furthermore, it is the tenth attack on DTEK's energy facilities since the war began. The damages resulting from the shelling require considerable efforts to restore the normal operation of the stations.

After the shelling concluded, teams of energy workers promptly began addressing the aftermath of the attack and restoring the functionality of the equipment. However, due to the extent of the damage, there may be a temporary reduction in electricity supply capacities in some regions.
