Pensions in Ukraine 2025: Discover the amounts Ukrainians receive and where the highest payments are found.

As of January 1, 2025, the average pension in Ukraine reached 5,789.05 UAH, which is an increase of 403.8 UAH compared to 2024.

As of January 1, 2025, the average pension in Ukraine amounted to 5789.05 UAH, which is 403.8 UAH higher compared to the same date last year. This information was announced by the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

Currently, there are 10,343,630 pensioners living in Ukraine, which is 172,907 fewer than on January 1, 2024, when their number was 10,516,537.

The highest pension is recorded in Kyiv at 8017.65 UAH, while the lowest is in Ternopil region at 4484.69 UAH.

Nearly a quarter of all pensioners, specifically 25.9% (or about 2.7 million individuals), receive payments significantly below the average—up to 3000 UAH. Approximately 25.5% (around 2.6 million individuals) receive between 5001 and 10000 UAH. The average pension in this group is 6844.95 UAH.

1.9 million pensioners (18.8%) receive pensions in the range of 4001-5000 UAH, corresponding to an average payment of 4414.06 UAH. Pensions from 3001 to 4000 UAH are received by 17.6% of pensioners (about 1.8 million individuals), with an average amount of 3544.23 UAH.

Pensions exceeding 10000 UAH are received by 1.2 million individuals, accounting for 12.2% of all pensioners. The average pension in this category is 15379.97 UAH.
