In the 2025 admission campaign, several innovations will be implemented – an exam on research methodology for doctoral candidates, as well as one on the history of arts for master's students in artistic specialties. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mikhail Vinnitsky in an interview with ZN.UA. "Compared to the 2024 admission campaign, there will be no significant changes. We will have a professional entrance exam on the history of arts for those applying for master's programs in artistic specialties. Additionally, a new exam will be introduced for doctoral candidates to assess their knowledge of research methodology," he noted. Vinnitsky clarified that, as in the past, admission to full-time doctoral programs will only be available through state orders, while part-time or evening programs will be offered through contracts. "This issue is fundamental, driven not only by the need to combat individuals who misuse doctoral programs.
