Canada is allocating military assistance to Ukraine amounting to 440 million Canadian dollars (over 305 million US dollars). This was announced by Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair at the Ramstein meeting on Thursday, January 9, as reported on the
department's website. It is noted that out of this amount, 200 million Canadian dollars will be directed towards a Czech initiative for the procurement and supply of large-caliber ammunition. An additional 50 million Canadian dollars will be allocated for the purchase of ammunition of various calibers from Canadian industry. 100 million Canadian dollars is earmarked for a Danish model to support the production of military drones by the Ukrainian defense industry. Additionally, 30 million Canadian dollars has been allocated for winter gear, including sleeping bags, winter boots, and thermal underwear, which have already been delivered to Ukraine. Another 64 million dollars have been spent on high-quality drone cameras, which have also already been sent.
