Spain will allocate an additional 10 million euros for humanitarian aid to Ukraine. This was announced on Tuesday, January 28, by Spain's Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares, during his visit to Lviv. This is mentioned in a
press release from the Kingdom's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was noted that during his visit to Ukraine, the diplomat informed the country's authorities about the allocation of 10 million euros from the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation as humanitarian assistance, which will be added to the 100 million euros that Spain has already provided to Kyiv since the start of the Russian invasion. "Spain's solidarity with Ukraine, besides financial aid, was also emphasized during Albares' visit to the Lviv hospital, where he announced that the country will send a team of Spanish medical trainers to conduct training for the staff of the Ukrainian hospital," the press release states. It is also clarified that nearly seven thousand Ukrainian soldiers have already undergone training in Spain. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held talks with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. One of the topics discussed was Ukraine's
needs for additional air defense systems. It was also reported that the United Kingdom will supply Ukraine with
15 new Gravehawk mobile air defense systems over the course of 2025, developed through joint funding from Britain and Denmark.
