"Maidan activists, patriots, true heroes of the war for the freedom of the Ukrainian nation, educated, creative, honorable, armed men. Their stories and contributions to the common cause of the fight for Ukraine will serve as a guide for all future generations of defenders of our freedom and statehood," the statement reads. The GUR reports that on December 25, 2022, a group of scouts conducted a deep raid into the territory controlled by the enemy. Four scouts, upon encountering Russian forces, refused to surrender and engaged in a final battle.
