The General Staff has confirmed the strike on a Russian command post in the Donetsk region.

Today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted another precision airstrike on the command post of the 2nd Guards Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation, located in the city of Novohrodivka, Donetsk region. This was reported by the General Staff on Sunday, January 12.

"This operation continues a series of fire strikes on the command posts of the occupying forces in the Donetsk direction," the report emphasized.

The General Staff also noted that the Ukrainian armed forces are demonstrating a high level of coordination and professionalism in identifying and destroying key elements of the enemy's command and military infrastructure.

Recall that recently, the Defense Forces struck the command post of the 810th Separate Marine Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces near the settlement of Belaya in the Kursk region.

Additionally, the Russians have lost another 1,750 soldiers in Ukraine over the past day. The total combat losses of Russian troops in Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to January 12, 2025, amount to approximately 808,250 personnel.
