European defense ministers will hold an emergency meeting regarding Ukraine, according to reports.

EU leaders are quickly working on new defense strategies in light of the potential end of U.S. military and financial support for Ukraine.
Министры обороны Европы соберутся на экстренное заседание, чтобы обсудить ситуацию в Украине, сообщает пресса.
Ministers of Defense from European countries will convene on Monday to discuss ways to enhance support for Ukraine. This was reported on Friday, February 21, by Bloomberg citing sources. More than ten ministers from countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and Poland will participate in the videoconference, along with representatives from the European Union and NATO.   "European leaders are rushing to devise new defense plans, considering the prospect of the U.S. halting its substantial military and financial support for Ukraine. Washington has also begun peace negotiations—a prospect that will influence the security architecture on the continent for years to come—without the involvement of Europe or Kyiv," the article states.   It is noted that the defense ministers' meeting will take place while several European leaders are arriving in Kyiv to mark the third anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In particular, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, is expected to visit.   On Monday, EU foreign ministers will also meet in Brussels.   The publication also notes that French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will travel to the U.S. next week to meet with President Donald Trump.   Recall that the EU announced a new military aid package for Ukraine, which will be revealed on the anniversary of the Russian full-scale invasion, February 24.   Earlier reports indicated that the European Union is considering allocating a new military aid package for Ukraine worth at least 6 billion euros to strengthen the country's strategic position ahead of negotiations with the Russian Federation.
