An expert explained why Russia employs explosives in decoy drones.

Russia is working to enhance its drones by replacing Western components with Chinese, Russian, and Belarusian alternatives.
Эксперт объяснил, почему Россия применяет взрывчатые вещества в дронах-обманках.

Russia acknowledges that Ukraine has successfully developed methods to counter "Shaheds," and is therefore seeking ways to improve its unmanned aerial vehicles. This opinion was expressed on the air of 24 Channel by Anatoly Khrapchinsky, the deputy director of a Ukrainian electronic warfare company and a former officer of the Ukrainian Air Force.

"Thus, we are observing changes in the antennas that are resistant to electronic warfare systems. Previously, there were "Comets" with four patch antennas, but now we see a greater number. There are already instances of Chinese antennas being used for precise positioning in the air," Khrapchinsky reported.

The expert noted that the occupiers are also attempting to replace Western components of their drones with Chinese, Russian, or Belarusian analogs. Moreover, the enemy is actively working on increasing the payload of their UAVs.

"The terrorist state aims to inflict as much damage as possible among the civilian population. Additionally, they are trying to create drones that are not combat vehicles but were primarily used to overload the air defense system - we are talking about a parody, the "Gerber." They are even embedding explosive components into them. This is intended to create some consequences from the detonation if a civilian encounters them," he added.

We remind you that the Russians launched 160 drones and two Iskander missiles; air defense systems destroyed 87 Shahed drones. Russia carried out a massive air attack on Ukraine, launching 160 strike Shahed drones and decoy UAVs, as well as conducting a missile strike on the Odesa region.
