Kryuchkov, during his time as the head of the private company Energoseti, orchestrated a scheme that led to the embezzlement of over 1.5 billion hryvnias from Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo and Cherkassyoblenergo between 2015 and 2016.   This involved signing contracts for the transfer of debt and changing the debtor. As a result of these manipulations, consumers paid money not to their respective regional energy companies but directly to the private company "Energoseti."   Kryuchkov served as a people's deputy from Yulia Tymoshenko's Bloc from 2006 to 2007. He was notably involved in a case concerning the appropriation of 346 million hryvnias from "Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo," where the majority of shares are state-owned.   On October 4, the High Anti-Corruption Court selected a measure of restraint for Kryuchkov in absentia, imposing detention. The former MP is accused of embezzling over 1.5 billion hryvnias from the state companies Cherkassyoblenergo and Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo. The court has allowed him to be tried in absentia.   In October, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau announced a search for Kryuchkov.
