Release from the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is possible even under martial law and general mobilization, reports Politeka.net.

According to the portal "Yuristy.UA," to complete this process, a serviceman must fulfill an important formality—signing a clearance letter in their military unit. However, this stage can sometimes be prolonged.

Lawyer Vladislav Deriy explained that if the clearance letter is not signed, the serviceman has the right to file a complaint with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the General Staff, or the operational command, as reported by Politeka.

The procedure for discharging a serviceman from the army involves signing a clearance letter that contains information about the fulfillment of service duties, any debts to the army, and other important details. This letter is a mandatory document for completing the discharge process.

Despite martial law and general mobilization, according to Ukrainian legislation, servicemen have the right to resign from the army if there are valid legal grounds for doing so.

Lawyer Vladislav Deriy emphasized that a serviceman has a legal right to discharge, and if the unit administration fails to comply with these regulations, appropriate measures should be taken immediately by contacting higher authorities.

Discharge from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, like any other process in the military sphere, follows a strictly defined procedure. If a serviceman is obstructed from completing this procedure without valid reasons, they have the right to defend their rights through legal channels.
