On December 17, the order of the Ministry of Finance dated November 22, 2024, No. 601 came into effect, which introduces changes to the form and content of fiscal receipts.

This was reported by a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation, and Customs Policy, Nina Yuzhanina.

According to the order, the issuance of old-style receipts will only be permitted until January 1, 2025 (for duty-free shops — until March 16, 2025).

The Ministry of Finance has been developing this order for over a year, yet entrepreneurs were given only 14 days to implement new software and reprogram RRO and PRRO.

Despite the short timeframe, after January 1, 2025, old-style fiscal receipts will not be considered valid, and entrepreneurs will face penalties. The fine for the first violation will be 100% of the value of the sold goods, while for repeated violations, it will be 150%. For certain categories of individual entrepreneurs under the simplified taxation system, fines will be 25% and 50%, respectively.

The MP noted that the Ministry of Finance had been working on the order for over a year, but only 14 days were allocated for the development of new software and reprogramming RRO and PRRO.

Despite the impracticality of such deadlines, after January 1, 2025, the old-style fiscal receipt will not be considered a settlement document.
