Superfinalist of the culinary show "MasterChef," Olga Ryabenko, shared a delicious recipe for goulash with vegetables.

This classic Hungarian goulash recipe will delight you with its rich flavor and aroma. It’s a wonderful option for a family dinner or a festive table.

Ingredients needed:

  • 1 kg of beef
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2-3 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 40 g of butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp of paprika
  • 1.5 tbsp of flour
  • 3 tbsp of tomato paste
  • 800 ml of water
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 small bell peppers
  • 4 tbsp of cream (15-20%)
  • Herbs for garnish

Cooking method:

Cut the beef into medium pieces, slice the carrot and onion into half rings, and mince the garlic. In a heated skillet, add vegetable and butter, place the meat in, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and fry until golden brown.

Next, add the onion, garlic, and carrot, continuing to sauté. After that, sprinkle in the flour, pour in the tomato paste dissolved in water, and add sugar along with the bay leaf. Simmer covered over medium heat for an hour.

Cut the bell peppers into strips, add them to the meat, and cook for another 20-30 minutes. Finally, pour in the cream, remove from heat after a minute, and add the herbs.

Serve with mashed potatoes or another side dish.
