Tariffs for utility services will continue to rise, particularly concerning the management of apartment buildings, according to Politeka.net.
It has been revealed who will see an increase in tariffs starting in March and which services will specifically become more expensive.
Reports indicate that the tariff will increase in Kyiv as of March 1. The utility service for managing apartment buildings in Kyiv includes the following responsibilities:
- cleaning of premises and surrounding areas;
- maintenance of internal house systems;
- elevator maintenance;
- procurement of electricity for elevator operation and lighting of common areas;
- current repairs of the building.
Politeka reports that starting March 1, the utility service tariff will amount to 12.66 UAH, including VAT, per square meter of total area of residential or non-residential premises in the building.
According to the State Statistics Service, by the beginning of 2025, the average tariff for water, electricity, gas, and other types of fuel will have increased by more than 19% compared to the same period in 2024. The largest increase was seen in electricity prices, which rose by 63%. Additionally, over the past year, tariffs have increased for:
- management of apartment buildings - by 10.3%;
- household waste collection - by 9.6%;
- maintenance and repair of housing - by 4.2%;
- water supply - by 0.7%;
- sewerage - by 0.6%.
