During the war, the issue of inheriting bank deposits from "PrivatBank" has become increasingly relevant, but sometimes the process of obtaining funds from deceased individuals can be extremely complicated, reports Politeka.net.
One PrivatBank client complained on the Minfin portal that the bank has not responded to inquiries regarding the release of a deceased person's deposit.
In a message posted on February 14, the Ukrainian notes that "PrivatBank" has been ignoring letters from the notary sent back in 2024 for over a year. A total of three official requests regarding the release of the inherited deposit have been sent to "PrivatBank".
PrivatBank is simply ignoring this. It is complete lawlessness in a state bank," the complaint states. So far, "PrivatBank" has not provided any response to this inquiry.
As highlighted by Politeka, this service is typically used by Ukrainians who plan to travel for an extended period. They can leave their valuables and money in the bank for safekeeping, allowing them to worry less about their security while away from home.
Storage boxes come in various sizes, so they can hold not only money but also important documents, jewelry, and other valuable items. Renting such boxes is quite affordable. For instance, at "PrivatBank," the storage fee ranges from 9 to 25 UAH per day, along with a monthly service fee for the "Access Key" account, which is 300 UAH.
