A man in military uniform with an amputated limb drew attention on Khreshchatyk Street in Kyiv, holding a sign that read "I am starving" and asking passersby for help.

According to TSN, the man is a serviceman from the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade.

The soldier recounted that after he was injured by a mine near Kleshchievka, he was discharged from service.

"I was discharged in July, but they did not fulfill all their obligations to me," he said, adding that he was not provided with housing despite promises of compensation.

The man also mentioned that he is renting a place and needs money for medical treatment and personal expenses.

"The state has not provided for me," he stated.

The author of the footage expressed his surprise: "This is the center of Kyiv, Khreshchatyk. It's very sad that this is happening."

As TSN adds, the man is Yevhen Lomskiy, who joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2015 and has been left without assistance after his injury.

"I am leading a miserable existence," he commented.

The 93rd Brigade confirmed that the man was granted disability status in September 2024 and is awaiting payment. According to brigade spokesperson Iryna Rybakova, the documents were filled out with errors, but the payment deadlines have not been violated.

"On January 14, the TCC accepted the documents for the payment of monetary assistance. The brigade's obligation to Lomskiy has been fulfilled; he is waiting for compensation," noted the head of the patronage service, Alina Karnaukova.

The brigade emphasizes that the bureaucratic process takes time, and during this period, a person may find themselves in a difficult situation.
