Excluding Kyiv from negotiations between the U.S. and Russia regarding the war in Ukraine would be "very dangerous." The negotiating table should include the U.S., Ukraine, Russia, and representatives from the EU. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with Associated Press on Saturday, February 1.   He noted that Russia is not interested in negotiations to end the war or in concessions that the Kremlin views as a defeat, especially given its military superiority on the battlefield.   The Ukrainian president expressed the opinion that U.S. President Donald Trump could compel Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin to come to the negotiating table by threatening sanctions targeting the Russian energy sector and banking system, while also continuing support for Ukrainian forces.   "I believe these are the nearest and most important steps," Zelensky said.   He mentioned that the Ukrainian side maintains contacts with the Trump administration, but these discussions are at a general level. Zelensky expressed hope that personal meetings would occur soon for detailed discussions on agreements.   "They may have their own relationships, but discussing Ukraine without us is dangerous for everyone," Zelensky emphasized.   "I believe that, first of all, we need to have a meeting with Trump - that is important," Zelensky stated.   According to him, after talks with Trump, the focus should shift to negotiations with Russia. He stressed that the negotiating table must include the U.S., Ukraine, and Russia, along with the European Union if possible.     "The voice of the EU should also be there. I think that would be fair and effective. But how exactly this will look? I do not know," Zelensky admitted.   Recall that earlier the head of state stated that the platform for possible negotiations should include Ukraine, the U.S., Europe, and Russia.   In Zelensky's view, negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine should first take place with U.S. President Donald Trump and European leaders, and then with Putin.   Putin made a statement regarding negotiations with Zelensky
