President Vladimir Zelensky commented on media reports regarding the U.S. approval for long-range strikes on Russian territory, stating that the missiles will speak for themselves. He made this remark in his evening address on Sunday, November 17.
He reminded that one of the key points of his Victory Plan is the long-range capability of the Ukrainian army.
"Today, many in the media are saying that we have received permission for corresponding actions. But strikes are not delivered through words. Such things are not announced. The missiles will speak for themselves. Definitely," Zelensky said.
Recall that earlier, The New York Times reported, citing sources, that current U.S. President Joe Biden has allowed Ukrainian forces for the first time to use long-range ATACMS missiles to strike Russian territory. This authorization came in response to Russia's unexpected decision to involve North Korean troops in combat operations.
It was previously reported that Washington plans to urgently provide Ukraine with $6 billion in assistance.
