Zelensky has signed a law stripping state traitors of their awards.

 

The parliament has passed a bill to revoke state awards from traitors of Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has already signed it. This is confirmed by the bill's map.   Ukrainian President signed the law on November 20 regarding the revocation of state awards from traitors of Ukraine.   The Verkhovna Rada adopted the law on the revocation of state awards for promoting or propagandizing the aggressor state or committing other unlawful acts against Ukraine.   The law provides for the possibility of revoking state awards from individuals found guilty of:  

• committing serious or particularly serious crimes,
• crimes that threaten the national security of Ukraine, international law and order, or peace.

Additional penalties may be imposed by the court. When delivering a verdict, the court must determine whether there are grounds for revoking the accused's state awards from Ukraine.   As is known, on November 18, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed bill No. 11225 aimed at improving the procedures for conducting medical and social expertise.   Zelensky signed a law on agreements with the investigation
