"The controversial parliamentary bill regarding fines for firewood storage will not be signed by the President of Ukraine", - assured the official.
On the contrary, the government aims to support citizens for whom firewood is a backup or primary source of fuel during the winter period.

After all, in rural areas, it is an important backup, and sometimes even the main type of fuel", - added Denys Shmyhal.
For instance, during the heating season of 2024-2025, additional assistance of up to 21,000 hryvnias will be provided to those heating their homes with firewood, coal, or other solid fuels for purchasing these types of fuels.
