Two days before her death, Farion's daughter shared a video of the failed assassination attempt on her mother.

Sofia Semchishin, the daughter of Irina Farion, released a video documenting what she believes to be a failed assassination attempt on her mother. The footage was recorded on July 17, 2024, just two days before the tragic death of the renowned linguist. Semchishin shared the video on Facebook.

"Just two more days and Irina Farion would have been alive... On July 17, 2024, you wanted to kill Mom! But... Mom got into the entrance faster than you could think in your dull head. Mom was returning at 5:13 PM from the last recording of 'Hena of Ukrainians' on the NTA channel. And you were wandering around Masaryka, shuffling your feet in foolish clothing in 30-degree heat, putting on your gloves. Now you will be punished by God. Just hold on a little longer and read your 'Alphabet of Terror' and 'Book of the Prisoner' in Russian. Until the end of your days," she wrote.

Semchishin added that the suspect's next birthday will be spent where he currently is - in prison.

"And there will be many more such birthdays - until the end of your life," she concluded.
