The fourth and final preparatory meeting for the establishment of an international commission to review claims for Ukraine, which will award compensation for damage caused by Russian aggression, took place in The Hague. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine on Friday, January 31.   The Ukrainian delegation was led by Deputy Head of the Office Irina Mudra. Representatives from 53 countries and the EU discussed the draft international agreement and set a date for the diplomatic conference. Official negotiations are set to begin in March in The Hague.   "We must complete the official negotiations and sign the international agreement by the end of 2025," Mudra noted.   The first element – The Registry of Damage Caused by Russian Aggression Against Ukraine – has already started accepting claims in the first two categories: the death of a close family member and damage or destruction of housing. Work on opening the remaining categories is ongoing.   The commission for reviewing claims will become the second key element of the international compensation mechanism – one of the priorities of the seventh point of the Peace Formula, Restoration of Justice.   The first element - The Registry of Damage Caused by Russian Aggression Against Ukraine - has already begun accepting claims in the first two categories: the death of a close family member and damage or destruction of housing. Work on opening the remaining categories is ongoing.   It should be noted that Russia has declared the Registry of Damage for Ukraine as an "undesirable organization."
