Russian forces have significantly increased shelling in the Sumy region, with the number of incidents rising fourfold compared to last year. This was reported by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Vladimir Artyukh, during a telethon.
"To be frank, we are recording more shelling. Four times more. There is a greater use of FPV drones, which were entirely absent last year, and now there are over 130. These include UAVs, Shaheds, and drones," Artyukh noted.
He also highlighted the Ukrainian defenders who continue to perform their duties professionally, mitigating the effects of the shelling and ensuring the safety of the civilian population in the region.
Recall that on Saturday, the Russians dropped a bomb on a high-rise building in the Sumy region. Initially, three casualties were reported. However, later their number increased to ten.
