The Office of the President will soon hold consultations with American partners regarding the frozen funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). This was reported on Tuesday, January 28, by Deputy Head of the Office Irina Vereshchuk. "Yes, the suspension of USAID funding is an unexpected and unpleasant piece of news for both the government and the public sector. However, this is neither the first nor the last challenge we must overcome. A 90-day pause from a key donor is certainly disconcerting," the official stated. At the same time, Vereshchuk is confident that "we will stabilize everything in the humanitarian sector." According to her, the Office will soon conduct "substantive consultations" with American partners to resume funding for humanitarian response projects in Ukraine as quickly as possible. "While we stabilize the situation, we need to protect the people and developments from the project teams," the official concluded. The suspension of USAID funding resulted from an order by U.S. President Donald Trump, who instructed to freeze aid for 90 days to verify its alignment with his foreign policy priorities. President Volodymyr
Zelensky instructed officials to report on the American support programs that are currently on hold.
