The High Anti-Corruption Court found six officials guilty, including leaders and employees of a subsidiary of Ukroboronprom, for embezzling 3.5 million UAH, and sentenced them to seven to eight years in prison. This was reported by the SAP press service on Monday, November 18.
The defendants were sentenced to imprisonment for a term of seven to eight years. Additionally, they were stripped of the right to hold positions related to organizational and administrative powers. The court also decided to confiscate part of the convicted individuals' property.
At the same time, for certain episodes provided for by part 1 of article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the court released individuals from punishment due to the expiration of statutes of limitations.

The verdict was delivered by a panel of judges consisting of Kravchuk, Kruk, and Belous. This is the first sentence from VAKS involving seven defendants, as reported by the CPC.
Here is the decision made by VAKS, according to Slovo i Delo:
The investigation, conducted by NABU detectives under the procedural guidance of SAP, established that from 2014 to 2016, the leaders of the State Enterprise Ukroboronprom and employees of a foreign company organized the conclusion of fictitious agreements and acts of completed work. Under these agreements, the state enterprise incurred losses amounting to 3.5 million UAH, which were illegally transferred.
It is worth noting that earlier, detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security reported suspicion against the deputy director of one of the municipal enterprises of the Dnipro City Council for embezzling budget funds.
Moreover, detectives from the Bureau of Economic Security are investigating the misappropriation of budget funds for the procurement of shelters for educational institutions that do not meet construction standards.
