Ukraine is set to expand its military training program.

Among the pressing issues are the staffing of instructor teams within the brigades and enhancing their performance, as well as encouraging their involvement in training centers.
В Украине планируют увеличить масштаб программы подготовки военнослужащих.

In Ukraine, the experimental military training project will be expanded. As part of the program, recruits undergo basic combined arms training directly within the brigades. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky.

The Commander noted that he held a meeting to discuss improving the quality of training within the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The command analyzed the training of graduates from educational centers who underwent an extended basic military training course lasting 1.5 months (instead of the previous 30 days). According to Syrsky, there are positive reviews from the brigades, but the level of psychological training still leaves much to be desired.

As is known, a new instructor training program is being implemented in Ukraine - extending the duration of their training from 1 to 2 months, enhancing the content of this program and the methodology for training instructors.

Syrsky added that he received positive results from the experimental project – conducting basic combined arms training (BOVP) based at combat units. The Commander listened to a report from the commander of one of the mechanized brigades regarding the completion of BOVP by newcomers at its rear training grounds.

"Conclusions: conducting the BOVP course at the brigade's facilities allows for achieving the highest level of personnel training. This enables on-site quality control; enhances skills in working with weapons and military equipment; improves team cohesion and emulation of military traditions within the unit; and significantly reduces the instances of training accidents during preparation," he noted.

The Commander-in-Chief emphasized that the experimental project will be expanded.

Among the problematic issues are the staffing of instructor groups within the brigades and enhancing their operations, as well as involving them in training centers.

Syrsky added that among the "leaders" in recruit training are the airborne assault troops.

Recall that in November of last year, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law on voluntary return to service for those who previously deserted or left military units without authorization.

As reported, the Rada extended the period for voluntary return to service after the first unauthorized departure from a military unit until March 1.
