Law enforcement officials have neutralized the activities of the neo-communist organization "Workers' Front of Ukraine." Its members attempted to disrupt mobilization efforts in Ukraine and urged military personnel to abandon their posts. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on Saturday, February 1.
"The perpetrators, under the guise of promoting neo-communist ideas, incited Ukrainians to revolt against the authorities and lay down their arms before the Russian invaders... The suspects called on citizens of conscription age to evade mobilization and urged active servicemen not to follow their commanders' orders and to desert," the statement read.
The agitators also proposed that servicemen unite into so-called "soldier committees" to collectively refuse to participate in combat operations at the front.
To disseminate Kremlin narratives, the offenders created pages for their organization on various social media platforms, amassing over 30 thousand followers.
The suspects also plastered various cities with propaganda postcards that featured a QR code linked to the enemy organization and calls to disrupt mobilization efforts. Each day, they visited no fewer than 30 locations, placing "agitational materials" on bulletin boards or simply on the walls of buildings.
To print propaganda materials, they set up underground "printing houses" right in their homes.
The SBU detained five organizers of the enemy cells in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions. All detainees are local residents aged between 20 and 32. Some are students, while others are employees or unemployed individuals acting under the coordination of a representative from the Russian Federation, known as the "union curator."
During the searches, large quantities of enemy propaganda materials, communist literature, computers, and mobile phones were seized from the suspects.
The detainees have been informed of suspicions under the article concerning obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during a special period, committed by a group of individuals in prior agreement (part 2 of article 28, part 1 of article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Three of the suspects are in custody, while two others have been placed under round-the-clock house arrest with electronic monitoring devices.

It was previously reported that a Russian agent preparing to detonate explosives near one of the SBU's structural units was detained in Kyiv. The woman had already retrieved a bag of explosives from a hiding place and was heading to a rented apartment.
Also, the SBU counterintelligence apprehended an FSB agent in Cherkasy, who was preparing coordinates for missile and drone attacks by Russia in the region.
