The first group of volunteers for the Ukrainian Legion took an oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people at one of the training centers of the Polish Armed Forces. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense on Saturday, November 16.   "Taking the oath is one of the most important and solemn events in a serviceman's life. For the legion's volunteers, this moment is particularly significant, as their decision to defend Ukraine is both conscious and resolute. The unit is being formed from highly motivated warriors for whom defending their homeland from the aggressor is a matter of honor," noted legion command representative Petr Gorkusha.

Currently, the servicemen have begun an intensive training course that includes firearms training (specifically elements of CQB - Close-quarters battle), tactical medicine, mine safety, topography, and other essential disciplines.   The press service emphasized that experienced Polish instructors are conducting the training.   Recall that on July 8, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the security agreement between Ukraine and Poland contains an arrangement for the creation of the Ukrainian Legion.   It was later revealed that over 500 applications from 30 countries around the world have been submitted to the Ukrainian Legion.
