In the city of Irpin in the Kyiv region, an explosion occurred in an apartment of a high-rise building. Rescuers are currently on the scene, reported the regional emergency service on Saturday, January 25.
It was noted that the report of the explosion in an apartment on the seventh floor of a 10-story building on Dzhereleyna Street was received by rescuers at 09:05.
At the scene, rescuers determined that "an explosion occurred, but no signs of fire or smoke were found outside."
Eight rescuers and three units of equipment are working at the site.
"Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities," the report stated.
Local communities are reporting that the explosion took place in the Fortuna residential complex, allegedly due to a gas leak.

Previously, an explosion occurred in an apartment in Brovary, Kyiv region. A 52-year-old woman was injured in that incident. Preliminary investigations by law enforcement indicated that a grenade exploded in the apartment.
In Odessa, a battery exploded in an apartment building on Akademichna Street, leading to a fire. A man died in that incident.
