The oil depot in the Russian city of Engels, which was attacked by Ukraine, has been burning for four consecutive days. This was reported on Saturday, January 11, by the governor of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, via Telegram.

The Russian official insists that it is an "industrial enterprise" that is on fire, not the oil depot at the Engels-2 military airfield.

He also claims that the area of the fire has allegedly "decreased by 80%" and that there is "less smoke".

"The process of fuel burning continues, specialists are taking all necessary measures. Experts from Rospotrebnadzor are continuously monitoring the air quality," he wrote.

Recall that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed on Wednesday, January 8, an attack on the oil depot in the city of Engels in the Saratov region. The oil depot, which supplied fuel for the Russian strategic aviation, was burned down.
