In Diia, you can now apply for a firearm permit.

The Diia app will introduce an option for obtaining and renewing firearm ownership permits. This was announced by Bogdan Drapyaty, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.   He reminded that since June 2023, a Unified Register of Weapons and an electronic cabinet for firearm owners have been in operation, significantly simplifying the process for citizens to submit documents for obtaining or renewing permits.   Previously, the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted a survey among users of the electronic cabinet, which showed that citizens would like to see features such as maps of shooting ranges and shooting grounds, workshops for weapon repairs, and gun stores.   "There is a high demand for the continued digitization of services, and therefore this is our unquestionable priority across the entire system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as determined by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Igor Klymenko," explained Drapyaty.   It was also reported earlier that civilians will receive legal guarantees to legally store found weapons during the period of martial law.   Recall that Ukrainians have submitted 485,798 applications for various types of permit documents for firearms.
