Russian aggressors attacked the Cherkasy region with strike drones on the night of Saturday. As a result, some subscribers in Cherkasy are still without electricity, reported the State Emergency Service on January 25.
"Last night (the enemy) targeted critical infrastructure. Rescuers extinguished a fire covering an area of 200 square meters. There were no casualties, but there is damage to private and multi-apartment residential buildings. Currently, some subscribers are without power, including in the regional center," the report states.
Meanwhile, the head of the Cherkasy regional military administration, Igor Taburets, wrote on Telegram that a headquarters is operating in the region and that people were not harmed during the enemy attack.
"A portion of subscribers in the regional center still remains without electricity. Points of invincibility are operational in the city," he wrote.
It is worth noting that last night, Russians launched two X-59/69 missiles and 61 drones of various types at Ukraine, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Most targets were destroyed, while others were affected by electronic warfare. The downed enemy drones caused damage in Kyiv region, Cherkasy region, and Khmelnytskyi region.
