The increase of the military tax from 1.5% to 5% is supported by 64% of Ukrainians. This is evidenced by surveys conducted by the group Rating on behalf of the Center for Analysis and Sociological Research.   Specifically, 32% of respondents answered "Definitely support", while the same percentage responded "Rather support".   At the same time, "Definitely do not support" and "Rather do not support" were the responses of 32% of those surveyed, with an additional 5% not providing an answer.   The initiative is most strongly supported by individuals in the "very poor" income group. This group also has the highest percentage of those who "definitely do not support" it.   Furthermore, the increase is most supported in the western regions. Among age groups, the greatest support for the decision was found in those over 51 years old.   The survey was conducted across the entire territory of Ukraine (excluding the occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas) from September 27 to October 1, 2024.       It should be noted that the Verkhovna Rada approved in general on October 10 a draft law on tax increases, which raises the military tax from 1.5% to 5% and establishes a bank profit tax at a rate of 50%. The document received 247 votes from deputies, surpassing the necessary 226 votes.   Ukrainians expressed how much they are willing to endure the war - survey
