In Ukraine, the general mobilization continues. Recently, the Verkhovna Rada extended it for an additional 90 days, meaning from February 8 to May 9, 2025. It has become clear how the situation regarding conscription in Odessa will change already in February.

According to the Law "On Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization," the intensification of mobilization in Odessa in February 2025 will involve the conscription of citizens liable for military service aged 18 to 60, provided they have military service experience and are fit for duty based on their health status.

Those liable for conscription in February 2025 in Odessa include individuals aged 25 to 60 without military service experience, as well as those previously classified as fit for limited service.

Individuals who were previously removed from the register and those classified as fit for limited service must undergo a re-medical examination by February 4.

Who is exempt from the intensified mobilization in Odessa in February 2025:

persons on the military register of conscripts (aged 17 to 25);

Ukrainians over 60 years old;

those deemed unfit for service due to health reasons;

individuals with disabilities of groups I, II, or III;

those removed from the military register;

former prisoners of war;

citizens with a deferral from mobilization;

employees subject to reservation.

Men aged 50 to 60 can only be conscripted during the intensified mobilization in Odessa by a separate mobilization order.

By the way, utility workers in Ukraine are being mobilized en masse. A petition has been submitted in Odessa regarding the resolution of the critical situation.

As of January 28 at 12:00, the petition has gathered 20,673 votes, needing 25,000.
