The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, held an important meeting with the foreign ministers and representatives of nine Southeast European countries. He announced this on social media . The meeting was attended by ministers from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey, Croatia, and Montenegro. Umerov highlighted that during the meeting, they discussed the main challenges and needs: the outcomes of the 25th meeting of the Ramstein format, which remains crucial for coordinating security strategy with our allies. Umerov urged the delegations to actively engage in the work of defense coalitions to provide Ukraine with everything it needs; the situation in Ukraine and the progress of our operations: Pokrovsk, Kursk, Kharkiv region, the Black Sea; the primary needs of the defense forces: enhancing air defense, scaling up drone production, supplying long-range strike capabilities, and equipping the military with modern technology; the capacity of the Ukrainian defense industry, which could reach 35 billion dollars by 2025, emphasizing the importance of: investment from partners and the establishment of joint ventures to maximize our defense industry's potential; Ukraine's readiness to expand cooperation with Balkan countries in the field of defense technologies and military training.
